Three big movers 9th March, 2022; Core Lithium, Insurance Australia Group & Mineral Resources
The Australian market rebounded from Tuesday’s losses to close 1.04% higher today at 7053 points as every sector finished the session in positive territory, led by a surge in tech stocks.
The stocks that made headlines today were:
Core Lithium shares lifted 5.68% today after the lithium exploration and development company released positive drilling results from its exploration activities at the Finniss Lithium Project near Darwin, including high-grade lithium intersections.
Insurance Australia Group’s share price fell during today’s session after the insurance provider announced it has received 24,000 claims across its brands for the floods and storms on the east coast, and estimates net claims could cost approximately 74 million dollars from these floods.
And Mineral Resources rallied 3% today following a positive broker note out of Citi including an upgrade to a buy rating with a 58 dollars per share price target on Mineral Resources’ shares.
