Dow Jones flat, ASX futures down ahead of market open in Sydney

  • Dow Jones closes up 15.53 points (0.0%).
  • ASX futures trading lower with ASX set to fall 9 points (-0.12%).
  • Bitcoin is trading at US$47,000.

The Dow Jones was flat to finish the trading day up 16 points to close at 35,515 points.

Earlier, markets in Europe had strong sessions as London’s FTSE and Germany’s DAX finished the trading day higher.

Asian markets are set to open lower with ASX futures down 9 points (-0.1%) ahead of the open in Sydney.

The Australian dollar is stronger against the major currencies and is buying 73.67 US cents.

Gold is trading at US$1,781 per ounce with copper down 0% to US$4.36 per pound.

WTI Crude oil is selling for US$67.88 per barrel while Brent oil is higher at US$70.30 per barrel.

The spot iron ore remains below US$200 per ton trading at US$160.85 and one bitcoin is worth US$46,989 going into the Asian trading day.
