Dow Jones closes down 0.3%, ASX futures higher ahead of market open in Sydney

- ASX futures trading only slightly higher ahead of market open in Sydney, up 4 points (0.06%).
- Bitcoin is trading at US$33,000.
The Dow Jones fell 0.31% to finish the trading day down 107 points to close at 34,889 points as investors debate the implication of higher-than-expected inflation.
Earlier, markets in Europe closed flat as London’s FTSE and the German DAX both closed down by less than 0.1%.
Asian markets are set to open only slightly higher with ASX futures up four points (0.1%) ahead of the open in Sydney.
The Australian dollar is firm against the major currencies and is buying 74.46 US cents.
Gold is trading at US$1,808 per ounce with copper down 0.02% to US$4.292 per pound.
WTI Crude oil is selling for US$75.22 per barrel while Brent oil is higher at US$76.46 per barrel.
The spot iron ore price remains above US$200 per ton trading at US$217.33 and one bitcoin is worth US$32,520 going into the Asian trading day.
