Dow Jones closes down 0.2%, ASX futures down ahead of market open in Sydney
- Dow Jones closes down 69 points (-0.2%).
- ASX futures trading lower with ASX set to fall 35 points (-0.5%).
- Bitcoin is trading at US$47,000.
The Dow Jones fell 0.2% to finish the trading day down 69 points to close at 35,031 points.
Earlier, markets in Europe were weaker as London’s FTSE fell 0.8% while Germany’s DAX finished the trading day lower, down 1.5%.
Asian markets are set to open lower with ASX futures down 35 points (-0.5%) ahead of the open in Sydney.
The Australian dollar is stronger against the major currencies and is buying 73.66 US cents.
Gold is trading at US$1,792 per ounce with copper at US$4.23 per pound.
WTI Crude oil is selling for US$69.28 per barrel while Brent oil is higher at US$72.66 per barrel.
The spot iron ore price remains volatile and is trading at US$133.05.
One bitcoin is worth US$46,617 going into the Asian trading day.
