Dow Jones closed down 2.5%, ASX futures higher ahead of market open in Sydney

- ASX futures trading higher ahead of market open in Sydney, up 23 points (0.32%).
- Bitcoin is trading at US$56,000.
The Dow Jones fell 2.53% to finish the trading day down 905 points to close at 34,899 points.
Earlier, markets in Europe were weaker as London’s FTSE fell 3.6% while Germany’s DAX finished the trading day lower, down 4.2%.
Asian markets are set to open higher, with ASX futures up 23 points (0.3%) ahead of the open in Sydney.
The Australian dollar is firm against the major currencies and is buying 71.23 US cents.
Gold is trading at US$1,793 per ounce with copper down 0.03% to US$4.281 per pound.
WTI Crude oil is selling for US$68.15 per barrel while Brent oil is lower at US$72.89 per barrel.
The spot iron ore price is trading at US$96.5 per metric ton and one bitcoin is worth US$55,828 going into the Asian trading day.
