The Dow Jones fell 0.16% to finish the trading day down 55 points to close at 34,934 points.

Earlier, markets in Europe were weaker as London’s FTSE fell 0.1% while Germany’s DAX finished the trading day lower, down 0.28%.

Asian markets are set to open higher, with ASX futures up 3 points (0.0%) ahead of the open in Sydney.

The Australian dollar is firm against the major currencies and is buying 71.97 US cents.

Gold is trading at US$126 per ounce with copper up 0% to US$155.24 per pound.

WTI Crude oil is selling for US$172.42 per barrel while Brent oil is higher at US$922.58 per barrel.

The spot iron ore price is trading at US$155.52 per metric ton and one bitcoin is worth US$44,065 going into the Asian trading day.
