Daily stock rockets and losers; News Corp jumps almost 5% on record Q2 results.
Looking at the movers and shakers on the ASX200 today.
A record second quarter for News Corp has the entertainment giant leading the stock rockets today, up 4.8% after lunchtime. News Corp reported record revenues of 2.72 billion dollars and first half profitability up 30% Year on year to just under 1 billion dollars.
Liontown Resource is up 4% today despite no price sensitive news released by the company.
And PointsBet rounds out the stock rockets for today, trading 2.25% higher after announcing the approval of the online betting company to become a licenced sportsbook in Ontario.
On the losing front,
Boral leads the losers down today, trading 41.3% lower after the building and construction materials company went ex-dividend and announced a 3 billion dollar return of surplus capital to shareholders.
ARB Corporation is lower by almost 5%,
And ADBRI has also lost almost 5% today so far.
