Looking at the movers and shakers on the ASX200 today. The stock rockets for the session so far are:

Beach Energy is leading the rockets today, up 7.3% after lunchtime, benefitting from a rise in the price of oil.

AusNet Services is rallying 4.5% today amid a rally in energy stocks.

And Virgin Money UK rounds out the top three rockets for today’s session so far, trading 4.4% higher despite no price sensitive news released by the company.

On the losing front, Evolution Mining leads the losers down today, trading 11.28% lower after the gold mining company released its December quarter trading update showing slowed gold production during the period.

Codan is trading 9.7% lower as investors take profit from a strong rally over recent days.

And Silver Lake Resources has fallen 9.55% today so far following the release of the gold miners’ quarterly activity report.
