ASX Futures pointing lower after Dow Jones closed down 1.0%

  • ASX Futures trading lower ahead of the market open in Sydney.
  • Dow Jones closed down 326.63 points.
  • Bitcoin is trading at US$29,000.

The ASX Futures is trading down 37 points, or 0.5 lower ahead of the market open in Sydney.

It follows the Dow Jones, which fell 1.0% to finish the trading day down 327 points to close at 31,834 points.

Earlier, markets in Europe had a strong session as London’s FTSE and Germany’s DAX finished the trading day higher.

The Australian dollar is buying 69.39 US cents.

Gold is trading at US$1,852.22 per ounce.

WTI Crude oil is selling for US$105.62 per barrel, while Brent oil is trading at US$107.32 per barrel.

The spot price for iron ore is US$123 per metric tonne and one bitcoin is worth US$28,648 going into the Asian trading day.
