ASX Futures pointing higher after Dow Jones closed up 1.5%

  • ASX Futures trading higher ahead of the market open in Sydney.
  • Dow Jones closed up 466.36 points.
  • Bitcoin is trading at US$31,000.

The ASX Futures is trading up 49 points, or 0.7 higher ahead of the market open in Sydney.

It follows the Dow Jones, which rose 1.5% to finish the trading day up 466 points to close at 32,197 points.

Earlier, markets in Europe had a strong session as London’s FTSE and Germany’s DAX finished the trading day higher.

The Australian dollar is buying 69.28 US cents.

Gold is trading at US$1,811.28 per ounce.

WTI Crude oil is selling for US$110.49 per barrel, while Brent oil is trading at US$111.55 per barrel.

The spot price for iron ore is US$124.50 per metric tonne and one bitcoin is worth US$30,970 going into the Asian trading day.
