ASX Futures pointing higher after Dow Jones closed up 1.0%

  • ASX Futures trading higher ahead of the market open in Sydney.
  • Dow Jones closed up 338.30 points.
  • Bitcoin is trading at US$48,000.

The ASX Futures is trading up 56 points, or 0.75% higher ahead of the market open in Sydney.

It follows the Dow Jones, which rose 1.0% to finish the trading day up 338 points to close at 35,294 points.

Earlier, markets in Europe had a strong session as London’s FTSE and Germany’s DAX finished the trading day higher.

The Australian dollar is buying 75.05 US cents.

Gold is trading at US$1,918.95 per ounce.

WTI Crude oil is selling for US$104.99 per barrel, while Brent oil is trading at US$147.50 per barrel.

The spot price for iron ore is US$147.50 per metric tonne and one bitcoin is worth US$47,240 going into the Asian trading day.
